Things I’m Loving Lately: Summer Beauty Edition
I work in the haircare industry, so it’s no surprise I’ve got beauty on the brain a good bit of my day. These are high-performing, extremely affordable products by companies that don’t test on animals. It’s a win-win-win! Let's do this thing!
Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle + Energizing Eye Masks - $21.95
First of all, let me just say that I don’t think I’ve ever purchased something so impulsively in my life. A subscription box service that I follow on Instagram posted a pic of these, and the comments were all so overwhelmingly positive. Seriously, I was looking for a bad one, and it wasn’t there. And if people will be honest anywhere it’s the internet, so I went to the brand’s site and purchased these immediately. I was absolutely blown away by the results. I don’t know how many people I’ve told about these amazing little masks (guys, too!). They make the lines around my eyes nearly disappear in 20 minutes. They also help with puffiness, but that isn’t an issue for me bc I sleep about 9 hours a night sooooo... ANYWAYS! They’re incredible. I like to keep mine in the fridge, and I use the leftover serum in the pack for my face. Also, they’re gold, which makes me feel super bougie. And the very best part? YOU CAN GET 6 PAIRS FOR FREE! All you have to do is sign up for the email list! Do it do it DO IT. And then tell me how much you love them later. (You’re welcome ;)
‘Lovecraft' Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick by Kat Von D - $19
Okay, so if you know me, this isn’t anything new. I’d even go so far as to say it’s my signature lip shade. ‘Lovecraft' is the perfect mauve and goes with just about anything I wear. It also transitions nicely into fall! But if that’s not your vibe, there are 39 other stunning shades to choose from. It’s matte and long-wearing without the excessive drying factor you typically find in similar products. And, at the beginning of the year, KVD recently reformulated their Studded Kiss collection to make the lipsticks even more creamy and pigmented than before! Score! Also, every time I use the newly repackaged all black tube, it makes me feel kind of cool? Can’t really explain it. Not mad about it, though! Real talk: this is the only lipstick I’ve ever consistently repurchased, and the new version is just heaven. KVD cosmetics are vegan and cruelty free!
The Quick Fix Circle by Davines - $9.50
The Circle Chronicles are a recent launch of treatment masks by Davines that cater to every hair need and mood, as opposed to just hair type. They can be used on their own or layered à la Korean multi-masking for a customized experience! I received a sample of the Quick Fix Circle at sales conference in January, and it was an absolute lifesaver. My hair was so wrecked from piling on products to combat the humidity, being rained on, restyling my hair over and over and over. It was a crisis situation. Enter the Quick Fix Circle. The second I applied it, my hair felt instantly transformed. This thing did an actual exorcism on my hair! Hyaluronic acid and red clay give the hair hydration and increase manageability. These come in a TSA-friendly resealable pouch and retail for $9.50 (but they’re worth WAY more than that in my opinion). I’ve already ordered backups to keep in my suitcase for when I travel for work because I never want to be without them. There are four other ‘Circle’ options, so be sure to check them all out to see what is the best fit for you. You won’t be disappointed! Davines focuses on sustainable beauty and is a B Corp, which means they use business as a force for good! You can learn more about B Corps by clicking here!
