V-Day Style: Pretty Little Underthings (1st Edition)
So it’s officially the month of love, and I thought I would poll my girl squad to see what their plans were for Valentine’s Day and if they were bold enough to share their wardrobe picks. Even those that initially responded with an emphatic “ummmmm NO” when they found out we would be talking about underthings were sent an email with the post content. And, I’m very happy to report, almost all of them contributed to today’s post! Some are clients, some are girls I’ve known since middle school, and some are followers of the site, but they’re all friends and part of the #NSSGirlGang, and I’m really pumped to put this out there — especially when I mostly expected everyone to give me a very strong side eye 😒

Why I love this item: It’s black, it’s sexy, and I think it could be styled with a shirt or just a jacket over it if i wanted to wear something sexy out for drinks! It was also reasonably priced. It is fairly true to size and shipped to me in a week.

Plans for Valentine’s Day?: Dinner and drinks at a Middle Eastern restaurant. We always celebrate a few days before because he is a musician and always has a good paying gig on Valentine’s night.

Valentine’s Day Plans?: I love Valentine’s Day. Major eye roll to anyone who talks down on this holiday. My husband and I are hoping for a weekend away from the kids. Coffee shop sitting, going out to eat, naps, small tattoos, and morning sex. Children never let you have morning sex.

Why I love this item: I love both of these pieces because they are super cute, but I feel like they would also be really comfy. I am also not the smallest girl, thanks to my love of food and my overall laziness, and I want to wear something that I can still feel sexy in without feeling like a stuffed sausage.

Valentine’s Day Plans?: Right now, we don’t have plans, but we usually like to cook at home on Valentine’s Day since restaurants tend to be a bit overcrowded on that holiday. A glass of wine, a nice meal, and a good movie would definitely be our kind of night.

I don’t like body suits, teddies, and garter belts, but I do love the embellishments that usually come with them. Pieces like this give me the feel of more coverage while still being two pieces! Why I love this item: This item screams Madonna set in the 1950’s. I love the rich teal color and the smooth satin silhouette of the bottoms. These shorts are both flattering and comfortable, and the bra is a show stopper. My husband isn’t big on lingerie, so I always choose what makes me feel strong and sexy.

What are you doing for Valentine’s Day?: My husband and I both tour, so we usually end up celebrating a few days after Valentine’s Day. We like to get each other a little gift and make dinner at home.

Why I love this item: I love a good teddy. They are sexy and cute, but comfortable, so you aren’t trying to get into something with a million straps and don’t know which is the top and which is the bottom. These are versatile to wear around the house, and you can never have too many! Also, you don’t ever have to worry about matching tops to bottoms, and they are easily removed ;)
