It's National Handwriting Day!

Handwriting! Remember it? I know, I barely do, either. But I have to say, there’s something about a handwritten note that just gives me the feels! It doesn’t have to be a big production, but it takes effort and actual thought. And it’s nice to feel like someone went the extra mile for you, you know? Also, I’ve noticed that if I’m in a less than stellar mood, writing someone a note to say hi or thank you always seems to give me a little boost.

One of my goals for this year is to write more handwritten notes. It’s a lost art! And if you want to join me by flexing your penmanship skills, here are my picks in honor of National Handwriting Day to help you get started!

All Occasions Greeting Card Set - $8.99

My love for Ban.do has been strong for a loooong time. And their box sets of greeting cards are amazing because they’re super cute, affordable, and good to have on hand in a pinch. I find I’m more likely to pop a note in the mail if I already have one on hand! This box set has a little bit of everything. I have purchased and repurchased these sets from Paper Source, and everyone always comments how much they adore them when they get them. And these are on sale! Go go go!

Schitt’s Creek Greeting Cards - $10.00

I don’t know how I found these Schitt’s Creek greeting cards, but I’m so glad I did because they’re incredible. There’s something in the set of 5 for just about any occasion, and I’m pretty sure everyone loves Schitt’s Creek, so these are bound to put a smile on your recipient’s face. Warmest regards!

Paint Stripes Greeting Card - $6.99

This darling box of thank you notes are a steal at $6.99 for 24! And chances are, they’re probably on hand at your local Target. With the rose gold embossed foil stamp, they look super high end and chic! I’m trying to work more on cultivating gratitude, and an easy way to do that is by writing thank you notes. I know, I know — it seems old fashioned, but it shouldn’t be! I’ve already written half a dozen thank you notes in just the last week. And I’m more inclined to do it when I have some on hand, so no pressure, but *add to cart*

I’m obsessed with Emily McDowell. I have been for a long time, but I only knew her by her art until recently. Her instagram account is one of my favorites to follow! In addition to incredible cards, she also makes mugs, magnets, and all kinds of cool stuff! Her sense of humor and perspective are a gift to this world, and she has new boxed card sets and a pep talk postcard set that I highly recommend checking out if you want to let the card do most of the talking.

12ct Cheers Lunchbox Mini Notes - $4.99

HOW FLIPPING CUTE are these lunchbox notes? What a sweet way to cheer on your kiddo before a big test or audition or just a normal day! These would also be darling to pop in your neighbor’s mailbox before going on a first date or put on your cubical mate’s keyboard before a big presentation or leave under a friend’s windshield wiper before a road trip. So many fun uses for these! It doesn’t look like these are available in store, but add to cart the next time you place a Target order and get ready to spread some cheer!

Vintage Blossoms Assorted Card Set - $18.00

I am literally swooning over these vintage blossom cards from Rifle Paper! SWOONING! The color palette is giving me all the heart eyes. The cards are blank inside so your message can be the star of the show! These are so stunning I would probably frame one if I received it so I think that makes this card/art hybrid a pretty decent price!

Minted Greeting Card Subscription - Price Varies upon selections

Minted is a great resource for art, cards, announcements, and you guessed it — greeting cards! They actually have a greeting card subscription program, and you make all the selections you want and the cards are shipped to you for free! Here are a few of my favorites, but honestly, it was difficult to pick. They have so many high quality options!

Feline Thankful Card Set - $12.95

Paper Source is so dangerous for me. I could bankrupt our account there without even trying because everything is SO FREAKING CUTE. Case in point: these thank you notes. I mean, I don’t really know what I need to say to convince you to buy them, but the cats are wearing eyeglasses and neck scarves, and there is a pun involved. Think about how thrilled your favorite cat lady friend would be to receive one of these in the mail!

Okay, did I do it? Did I convince you to start writing more handwritten notes? If so and you post about it, tag me so I can see!
